Is Ayurvedic Facial Oil safe for Rosacea?

Is Ayurvedic Facial Oil safe for Rosacea?

SHOULD YOU USE FACIAL OIL IF YOU HAVE ROSACEA?

Rosacea is a kind of chronic skin inflammation marked by a rose-like appearance or reddening of the skin, particularly the cheeks and nose, and is caused by a Pitta imbalance. It is more frequent in fair-skinned people, however, it may also be found in dark-skinned persons, and it gets more noticeable as you get older.

Rosacea manifests symptoms such as facial flushing, thickening of the skin, the appearance of blood vessels, big open pores, uneven skin, and tiny bumps around the eyes and nose, and is frequently misdiagnosed as acne or eczema. Although the intensity of the symptoms varies from person to person, if they are not treated promptly, they can intensify and potentially lead to irreversible harm.

Rosacea Is Of 4 Distinct Types:

  • Papulopustular Rosacea:
Characterized by redness and swelling of the skin and accompanied by breakouts that look like acne.
  • Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea:

This infection exhibits redness and flushing of the skin and is accompanied by the appearance of blood vessels.

  • Phymatous Rosacea:

Thickening of the skin and a coarse texture are the typical characteristics of this type.

  • Ocular Rosacea:

It usually occurs on the eye with a stye-like bump that causes irritation, inflammation, and swelling of the eyelids.

Ayurveda is a holistic discipline that believes that 'a healthy interior core within the human body is vital for fit outer characteristics.' It primarily works with alleviating internal aggravating elements while also managing topical skin concerns.
According to Ayurveda, rosacea is a type of pitta aggravating disorder that causes an excessive buildup of toxins that are primarily triggered by certain factors such as spicy unhealthy food, excessive caffeinated beverages, too much stress, extreme temperature variations, sun damage, and specific intestinal infection. In many situations, rosacea develops as a result of hereditary causes or the negative effects of certain oral drugs and topical skin treatments.

Ayurvedic therapy largely advocates pacifying the pitta aggravation by adapting a diet consisting of cold, sweet, stabilizing foods by substituting sour, spicy ones with salty or savory ones to control rosacea symptoms. Fresh fruits and vegetables, healthy fats, lean proteins, and anti-inflammatory dietary derivatives are all part of this diet. It is also recommended to decrease tension and worry in order to avoid abrupt acne breakouts, as well as to use herbal treatments as much as possible.
