How to massage your feet in Ayurvedic medicine?

Massaging your feet after a long, hard day on your feet will not only feel good, but is also great for your health and well being. The feet hold many energy points linked to almost every part of the body. They connect us to the earth, providing stability and grounding, and, quite literally, bear the weight of the day.

If you've ever had a professional foot massage, then you know how nice it feels to have a special person caress your feet. But what if there was a way to get a foot massage without having to pay for expensive massages? This is where Ayurvedic reflexology comes in. Reflexology's main idea is that there are points on the feet that correspond with certain organs in the body. By applying pressure to these specific points, you can help unblock "energy" pathways in these areas (causing them to be more relaxed and healthy) and give yourself an overall feeling of well-being.

BENEFITS:

  • Improves sleep quality and induces a feeling of profound relaxation.
  • All organs and tissues of the body are stimulated and energized.
  • Reduces anxiety and stress by giving you a feeling of security and grounding in who you are.
  • The bottom part of the body is supported by this product.
  • Improves foot health by reducing stiffness and weariness as well as strengthening the feet.

TECHNIQUE:

  • Put a cloth beneath your feet for this technique.
  • The top and bottom of the foot, as well as the ankles and toes, should be covered with a tiny quantity of oil.
  • Using circular movements and forceful strokes, massage the whole sole of the foot.
  • The big toe is the first place to start. Finger and thumb at the nail's base and underside are both pressed simultaneously.
  • Massage the toes from the bottom to the tip. On each toe, do the previous step a second time.
  • Firmly push into the spaces between the bones along the top of the foot as you massage it.
  • Repeat the procedure on the opposite leg.
  • If you're having a pre-bedtime massage, wear socks to protect your feet.

If you want to offer an unforgettable gift to someone special, you might want to consider a foot massage.
